Welcome to my portfolio! My name is Dani Dull, I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, designer, jewelry enthusiast, and maximalist. I have a wide variety of works and projects to my name, but no matter the medium or discipline, my art has always embodied who I am.

I find a lot of my inspiration through color, which shouldn’t be too surprising after a quick glance at my portfolio. I have always been interested in our relationship to color, how it affects the human brain, and how we use it to navigate through life. In a time where our world is becoming increasingly more grey and gentrified, my goal is to keep color alive and inspire others to do the same.

The first time I drew a recognizable picture was on my 3rd birthday, and I haven’t put down a pencil since. I continued creating throughout my adolescence until I attended Pratt Institute here in Brooklyn, and got my BFA in Communications Design, with a Focus in Illustration, in May of 2025.

While pursuing my Illustration degree, I fell in love with 2D animation and character design, incorporating them into my illustration projects whenever I could. I ended up using these newfound mediums to create my senior Thesis project.

Since graduating, I have rekindled my love for traditional art, as well as discovered a newfound interest in watercolor. My work has typically always included subjects or forms that are recognizable, but I have always been fascinated by surrealism and the absurdity of shapes and pictures that are not meant to resemble a specific being or object.

Recently I have been creating watercolor paintings with no reference or goal in mind, instead opting to allow my hands to move on their own and create something that doesn’t have to look like anything. This has helped me in my process of solidifying a visual identity for my art and figuring out the path I want to take moving forward.
